How to manage your subscription to xHarbour's newsgroups.
We at xHarbour.com know that support is very important for all professional programmers. To meet these support demands, we have set up a support newsgroup at xHarbour.com. xHarbour Builder customers can access this newsgroup to post questions and/or bug reports . Access is free for 30 days from your purchase date and remains in effect for as long as you maintain your xHarbour Service Updates Subscription.

xHarbour.com's Technical Support Newsgroup should provide you with the fastest response time to any xHarbour related issue you may encounter.

Please note: We are unable to offer any technical support by means of private email. Using our newsgroup also serves a secondary purpose of answering similar questions of other customers.

Besides the technical support newsgroups from xHarbour.com, we also have a xHarbour.org newsgroup. Reading and posting messages on this newsgroup is free of charge. The newsgroup is hosted by Google Newsgroups and is not managed by xHarbour.com Inc.
The settings required to connect to the xHarbour.org news server:
Applied to a popular newsreader like Outlook Express, this looks like this:
In Outlook Express, create a new news server using the Accounts menu option.
Enter your name in the "Display name" field.
Enter your e-mail adress in the "E-mail address" field. The xHarbour Builder newsgroup is a private hosted newsgroup. This means that you do not need to fear of theft of your e-mail adress for spam purpose.
Enter "news.xHarbour.com" as the news (NNTP) server.
Enter your account name. This is the same as your user name as you use it to login into "my xHarbour" at xHarbour.com. Same for the password, use the same as you use to login at xHarbour.com. Check the "Remember password" checkbox for your own convienience.
Click "Yes" to start downloading available newsgroups at news.xHarbour.com. Check the "Remember password" checkbox for your own convienience.
Highlight the local.xHarbour.Builder newsgroup and click the "Subscribe" button. This will add the xHarbour Builder newsgroup as a subscribed newsgroup to your xHarbour.com news server account. Click on "OK" to activate the account.
The xHarbour Builder newsgroup is added to your Internet account! Click the "Close" button to start using the newsgroup. See you online soon! ;-)
